Sensitisation workshop with judicial actors about the sexual and reproductive health rights of women as stipulated in the MAPUTO Protocol

SOGOC through the ACAC project assembled key actors of the judiciary (magistrates, lawyers, police and gendarmes) on August 7th 2020 to discuss about the reproductive health rights of the Cameroon woman. Focus during the exchange was about access to comprehensive abortion care services particularly for women who are eligible as provided by the Cameroon penal code and article 14 of the Maputo protocol signed and ratified by Cameroon. The judicial actors were urged to not be barriers to the timely provision of comprehensive abortion care services for eligible cases.
The objectives of the SOGOC are: the promotion of excellence in the practice of the sciences and arts of Gynecology-Obstetricians in Cameroon;
