The maiden network meeting for the ACAC project held on Friday September 13, 2019 at the premises of the Medical Council building Nkoleton in Yaoundé. Presided at by SOGOC President, Prof Robert Leke, the meeting was attended by representatives of some Community Based Organisations, Government institutions and Civil Society organisations (CAMNAFAW, ACAFEJ, DKT, OFSAD, NOLFOWOP, BAYA, ARIGOC, ASFAC, RENATA, and ACAFEM).
The executive of SOGOC and the Director of the Department of Family Health (DSF), Prof Mbu Robinson also participated in the meeting. The aim of the meeting was to bring on board likeminded stakeholders in the domain of comprehensive abortion care to form a network which can carry on a global advocacy for increased access to comprehensive abortion care within the context of the Cameroon law and contribute to reduce maternal mortality in the country.
