The Advocacy for Comprehensive Abortion Care (ACAC) project held its regular network meeting over the weekend, chaired by Dr Mandeng sitting in for the Director of the Department of Family Health at the Ministry of Public Health.

This special meeting took place at Nkoleton in Yaoundé and welcomed new members from the ODAS Cameroon ThinkTank, established earlier this year to enhance advocacy for access to safe abortion services.
Dr. Fouelifack, the Assistant Treasurer of SOGOC, provided a brief overview of SOGOC, the ACAC project, and the successes achieved by the ACAC network since its inception.
Project Manager Yenjong Rita delivered an update on the ACAC project, outlining the context of the meeting and encouraging participating organizations to highlight their current projects and activities related to this thematic area. Representatives from Sisterspeak237, DKT, and Elles Rayonnet took this opportunity to share their ongoing initiatives.

As the main guest, ODAS Cameroon (Open Dialogue for Safe Abortion) presented an overview of their organization and areas of intervention. They emphasized their primary objective: to build and support national partnerships advocating for access to safe abortion, leveraging networks of young people, feminists, and local NGOs to foster authentic relationships and capitalize on existing efforts.
Another key partner, Camnafaw, shared insights about their Comprehensive Abortion Care (SCAAO) project in West Africa.
